Am I Eligible?

The application criteria are simple.

    Career Tech Program

  • Be a U.S. Citizen that graduated from a Stark County high school or a Stark County resident who was home schooled.

    Undergraduate students must:

  • Be a U.S. Citizen that graduated from a Stark County high school; or a Stark County resident who is eligible to graduate from a Stark County high school, but chose to attend and graduate out of county; or a Stark County resident who was home schooled.

  • Enroll in school full time ( at least 12 credit hours per term) in a post high school, undergraduate degree-granting program. This includes associate degrees, technical-school and trade school programs.

  • Have and maintain minimum term and cumulative grade point averages of 2.00.

 

If you are applying for a North Canton Student Loan you must additionally be:

  • A permanent resident of the North Canton City School District at the time of application.

 

Graduate Students must:

  • Be a U.S. Citizen that graduated from a Stark County high school; or a Stark County resident who was home schooled.

  • Enroll in school full time ( at least 6-9 credit hours per term) in a graduate degree program.

  • Have and maintain minimum term and cumulative grade point averages of 3.00.

  Requirements for Receiving a Loan

To receive a student loan from the Foundation the  student must:

  • Have the ability to perform satisfactorily in the degree granting program.

  • Demonstrate the industry, determination and fortitude to graduate.

  • Show a proven need for financial assistance beyond what the applicant and family can provide.

  • Demonstrate a commitment that the money will be repaid per the terms of the loan agreement.
