When you donate to The Canton Student Loan Foundation, you help someone build his or her future.
The Foundation thrives because of the generosity of our donors. This, combined with wise investments, conservative stewardship of funds by our Board, and our borrowers' conscientious repayment of loans, has allowed us to award more than $24,356,665 in student loans. Last year alone, we helped more than 400 local students with their higher education expenses.
Every contribution dollar to the Foundation goes for student loans. NO contribution is ever used for operating expenses. Interest covers all general operating expenses of the Foundation. Any additional interest supplements the revolving pool of loan funds. Your membership and contributions couldn't work harder for our deserving Stark County students.
The Canton Student Loan Foundation is very proud of our students' less than 1 percent default on all loan payback over the last 88 years of operations.
The Canton Student Loan Foundation is an Ohio non-profit corporation and a 501(c)(3) organization. We accept:
- Cash gifts
- Stocks, bonds, real estate or other property
- Wills and bequests
- Trusts and other planned gifts

Membership
The Canton Student Loan Foundation membership is composed of individuals, businesses, foundations, and civic organizations who believe in the work of the Foundation.
We have seven levels of membership in the Foundation. Your donation at any of these levels gives you membership for one year (we follow the fiscal calendar year of July 1 - June 30).
As a member, you receive:
- Triennial newsletters
- Annual report
- Voting privileges at the Annual Meeting
Most importantly, you help local students obtain a higher education, realize their dreams and build a foundation for their future.
